Whats up guys? What happend to all the chatter?

Well went out last night in search of shad in new places with no luck yet with the net, but did get a giant ball under my lights. All the fish were about 3/4"-1" only managed to reel in 2 wisker fish before the wind decided I needed to go home. All in all nice couple hour trip after workin some long nights the past few days.

I hear ya! been tiring to get out myself after work for a boat test and tune. The wind or the hours have been getting me also. I did hear of a report that someone in the club was knocking them out last Saturday in the wash. A few between 3-5 pound range and one 18 pound pig. If I can get out before the craze holiday weekend starts i will post.

I talk to one of the new guys last weekend and he told me he caught a 10 pounder and a lot of 2-3 pounders in the wash
I haven t heard of the 18 pounder but it could be true

We were out last Friday (5-25-12) and fished the beach for a nite bite.
Got two before the sun set, the chummed it up.
Had chum bombs going all nite (6 gallons) and cut up 12+ bags of chovies.

Fish were hitting about once an hour but lite bites. Around midnite the bite was getting better and by 1:30am it was steady but not wide open. Around 2:30 a ghost ship apeared with its all-around lite. We hit a warning blast from the can-o-air horn but no one was on board. Watched it drift all the way to the boulder beach.

We called it at 4:30 and took a nap and left at 7:30.
Got home and sorted fish, 30 were in the cooler.

Did a 4-fish each scale check (like a mini tournament)

I've been traveling non-stop and just return to LV and headed out to the Lake with Erik K and friends in town from Elko. Monday between my boat and Erik Knickerbocker's boat we caught 51 stripers. Tues with just three, Danny Williams, Shiela and Myself we caught 41 stripers. Only a couple of fish in the 3 lb range but most were around 2-2 1/2. The kids had a blast on Monday and the crowd wasnt as bad as you would think. Jet skies were buzzing around and we were still pulling one after the other out. Cut bait was the ammo, both achovies, Sardines and cut pieces of big gizzards and we were in the Wash about 40 ft of water. Im tired now so gotta take a break even though I'm still on vacation. Going to grind some frozen Gizzards to make chum bombs for the SR on the 2nd. I'm going to fire up the grinder tonight when the sun goes down if anyone wants to join in and use the grinder before I clean it feel free to come by. Call and I'll give my grindage party time. Tonights ingredients will be left over Sardines (kind of yellowish), lots of big gizzards left over from multible trips and a gallon of manhattan oil from Bass Pro, some oat meal and any other old cereal that might be in the house. I think I saw some corn flakes no one has shown any attention.

I made some chum bombs with a bottle of fish sauce, a jar of dried shrimp mixed with anchovies, mackeral and chicken scratch. Smells nasty! Got some on my hands! Stinky S%$T!! See what happens. See you guys at Stripe-A-Rama!!!
